Clifford, a MasterCraft team rider, carried his momentum from yesterdays qualifying rounds on Lake Allatoona into today's main event. He unleashed an arsenal of progressive tricks, boosting from the XStars massive wake to wow the crowd with next level aerials, clean rotations, technical grabs and on-point rail riding. Cliffords well-balanced and perfectly executed run was too much for the field of world-class athletes to overcome, which included Rusty Malinoski, Tony Carroll, Tony Iacconi, Steel Lafferty and Shota Tezuka.
It feels great to get the first Pro Tour win of the season, especially with how well all the guys were riding today said Clifford. I'm focused on having a really strong season and can't wait for the next event.
Prior to the finals, fans were treated to one of the most exciting spectacles in wakeboarding the CONTOUR Big Air Contest. Using a kicker ramp, some of the world's most innovative riders launched gigantic aerials that are typically not attempted in a traditional contest format. Going the biggest was, Adam Errington, who stuck a huge Indy Backside 180 to claim first place in the specialty contest.
