It was a privilege for the HIT Club to run the first night ski event in the world using the new MasterCraft ProStar on March 22, with the support of PSA Ski Boats. Two weeks later we ran our Championship Tournament again using the new ProStar.
PSA Ski Boats, covering all costs and having a new boat available through their demo boat owner Carl and Elena Farnden, sponsored the Tournament. PSA Ski Boats sponsorship allowed the club to offer its members an opportunity to be some of the first skiers to ski behind the newest offering from MasterCraft and for those members heading to Darwin, an experience behind the official Nationals towboat.
Coupling National boat drivers and flat water on the Swan River with the ProStar, the day will be remembered as a huge success for all involved. 54 slalom sets were taken and no reruns were requested or offered. Skiers commented on the wake (lack of), which is music to MasterCraft's ears as that is what they had set out to achieve when designing this totally new boat.
The HIT Club would like to thank David Gordon of PSA Ski Boats for his generous sponsorship of our Championship Tournament and is looking forward to working with PSA Ski Boats in the future for the promotion of MasterCraft and Waterskiing throughout Western Australia.
If the queues on the dock are an indication of the popularity of the ProStar, MasterCraft have a sure winner in their stable of powered watercraft.
