Duties             

• Plan new components and make purchases for raw materials and supplies to meet production schedules.

• Maintains good inventory practices for J.I.T. and Lean Manufacturing techniques with specified deliveries and procedures.

• Develop good supplier forecasts for the most economical delivery without creating short stock or outages.

• Maintain supplier sourcing files and data base to execute MRP in purchasing material with lower inventories

• Works with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, service, and support at a reasonable cost.

Requirements        

• A minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience with exposure to Lean Manufacturing and J.I.T. practices a must.  

• This position requires good analytical thinking and willingness to take on responsibility and challenges.  

• Candidate must be dependable in fulfilling obligations and must be able to maintain composure in difficult situations.  

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.  

• Must have good Excel program skills with Epicor - Avante experience preferred.  

• Candidate must be flexible to travel and must be able to work long hours to meet critical deadlines and obligations.
