Stephen grew up spending his summers at his family’s lake cabin in Alberta. Waterskiing was no more than just another activity to do behind the boat each weekend. As Stephen got older his skiing started to progress much quicker. After a couple clinics from some pro tour skiers, he was convinced to enter a regional tournament to try and qualify for the Canadian Nationals. Later that summer he won a Canadian National Title and skiing became more of a priority.
Not long after his first tournament experience, he began competing against top skiers at pro tour events around the world. The original goal of trying to make the cut for the finals has now transformed into battling for the top of the podium. Run offs for spots on the podium at the US Masters and trying to tame the Yarra River at the Moomba Masters are highlights that keep Stephen striving for more success on the water
